The winners of the EuroCloud Deutschland Awards will also be given the opportunity to apply for the EuroCloud European Awards with alongside other European countries.

In the last few years, cloud computing has become one of the fastest growing segments of the IT industry. However, as more and more information on individuals and companies is placed in the cloud, concerns are beginning to grow about just how safe the cloud environment is. EuroCloud Germany´s kick off meeting ended up – as hoped – in a lot of work for the new Association: Around 80 attendees worked on the most important topics for the German Cloud Computing industry. Specialists and executives from German Cloud Services companies developed the sector´s hot topics in several newly formed focus groups. In one of these, Cloud Managed Services, EuroCloud Deutschland_eco will focus on subscription, monitoring and billing of Cloud Services; Compliance & Law will deal with security and accountability.
